We've moved -- new book, new look!

Today is an exciting day for the Stitch family! We welcome our second book, Subversive Seamster: Transform Thrift Store Threads into Street Couture and have launched a pretty, new website! Now our blog, events, classes, and books can be found in one central location. All future blog posts will be located here:

Thanks for your continued support and we'll see you on the new site! (This site will no longer be monitored.)

Otis Lounge Event, 9/13 from 3-5PM

From Jenny Wong:

To celebrate my birthday, I'm putting on a party that will support local indie
designers and a good cause-V-day's latest campaign to stop the mass rapes that
are occurring in Congo. A portion of the proceeds from door donations, designer
sales and drink sales will go to V-Day (vday.org).

It will take place from 11 am to 6pm at the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on December 15th 2007. Happy Sewing!

Prototype this!

This program "Prototype This!" is constructing airbags that will be secured to a harness as a safety device. They are wondering if they could comission some extra hands to construct the bags.

If you are interested in helping, please contact Jaqueline Marker at jaquelyn_marker@beyond.com.au

Happy Sewing!
